Pricing is per person for a standard lodge room. Lodge rooms sleep up to 6 people. If you'd like a larger accommodation, please see the "Larger Family Accommodations" rates below. No charge for children ages 2 and under.
Ride Age Restrictions - Trail Ride: for ages 8 and above / Ropes Course: for ages 4 and above / Whitewater Rafting: for ages 6 and above under normal water conditions (rafting is the only additional per person fee associated with camp if your family chooses to participate).
Scholarship Opportunities - All 2026 family camp scholarships have been awarded at this time. The 2027 scholarship application will go live in January of 2026.

Transportation to Trail West
Each family is responsible for their own transportation to and from Trail West. We encourage a family road trip or flying into Colorado. There are two airports closest to us, Colorado Springs airport (2 hours from Trail West) or the Denver Airport (3 hours from Trail West). Once you arrive in Colorado, families can rent a car and have it for the week (there isn't a rental car return in Buena Vista, CO).

Initial Request Period (for Area Directors/Champions)
Begins on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025
The Initial Request Period for Young Life Area Directors/Champions begins at 8:30am Mountain Time on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025. If you'd like to bring a Champion group please call our office at 719-395-2477, prior to this day. See initial request guidelines listed below. Not familiar with the Trail West Champion program? Initial Request: From October 1st, 2025 - November 19th, 2025, Young Life Area Directors/Champions are able to submit their initial request for the weeks & accommodations they would like for the Summer of 2027 here at Trail West Lodge. The Initial Request Form can be retrieved by reaching out to our offices by phone or email. (719)395-2477, glacher@trailwest.younglife.org. Repeat champions/areas can request up to 100% of the number of rooms booked their last visit. New champions/areas can request up to 6 rooms (including their own). Champions will be made aware of the courtesy holds they have received from their initial request on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025.
Reservation Round 1: Rooms will be placed on courtesy hold based upon each champion's initial request to allow families to call in and book with a non-refundable $1000 deposit. This deposit is subject to our Cancellation Policy. Families can begin calling in to reserve their rooms on January 7th, 2026. If all rooms requested are booked, additional rooms can be placed on hold subject to availability.
Courtesy holds placed during the initial request period expire on Wednesday February 18th, 2026. Once General Booking begins, Area Directors/Champions can book and hold rooms using the same guidelines for priority booking. However, courtesy holds will vary from one week to only 24 hours depending on availability and demand.

General Booking (Deposit and Cancellation Policy)
Begins on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026
General Booking for 2027 begins at 8:30am Mountain Time on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026. Rooms can be booked with a $1,000 non-refundable deposit subject to the cancellation policy. There is no limit to the number of rooms that can be booked, subject to availability. Full payment is due by February 1st, 2027.
Deposit Policy: A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking a room. Full payment is due by February 1st, 2027.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your room before February 1st, 2027, you forfeit the $1,000 deposit. If you cancel your room after February 1st, 2027, your full payment is non-refundable. In either situation, if Trail West is fully booked for your week & therefore, can rebook the room, you will be refunded all except a $500 cancellation penalty. The $500 cancellation penalty is non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be converted into a donation.
